Our base package includes all
of what you need and is priced at $749 per every 10,000 words. You will
receive a completely finished audio master that includes:
- Music at the beginning and end of each CD
- A Spoken Credit at the beginning and end of the program
- A professional voice talent and the entire narration
- All of the studio time for recording
- An audio engineer and director on every recording session
- One round of extensive word-by-word audio editing in the studio
- A second round of proofing and re-editing in the studio
- Recuts with the reader as needed
- Mastering and compiling the audio into a CD set
We require 4 hard copies or a digital file of the book to work from
and a 60% deposit to get started.
By default, the CD tracking will be 5-7 minutes each. (unless you
require the CD tracks be timed differently, such as at the chapter
starts).
We also provide the following additional services:
Abridgement: $600 per 10,000 words.
Additional Masters: We will provide you with additional master
sets. $12 per CD (these are burned at a much lower speed for lower error
rate than mass produced cds)
Three Minute Sample for downloadable preview: $60.
Extra Script Preflight: For titles with a high volume of words whose
pronunciation is questionable (such as books on the Middle East or those
with Medical terminology), we will scan the text, identify those words,
and find the correct pronunciations. Text scanning is $50 per 10,000
words. Pronunciation research is $3.50 per word. If the words are
provided by the publisher without a pronunciation key, pronunciation
research is only the $3.50 per word. If both the words and the
pronunciations are provided by the publisher, there is no extra charge
(this may be required for sci-fi titles).
DVDs with hour long waves: $40 per DVD. For those publishers
who provide downloadable retailers with waves of each CD (up to 72
minutes), these will contain the same program as the audio cd version,
but with music only at the beginning and end of the program.
Music Scoring and Foley: $499 per CD. This includes original music
composition and Foley effects added to parts of the audio book. .
Archive of raw recording on DVD: $250
Manufacturing: $99 setup, which includes taking your
camera-ready artwork and reformatting it for the front and back cover of
the audio book; creation of a barcode using your ISBN and the audio
book's price; and creation of text to be printed on the actual CDs.
Covers are full color, text on the CDs is laser printed black on chrome.
